About me
Matt Baumann has been with South Carolina Department of Environmental Services [formerly DHEC] since 2017. He is currently the director of the Aquatic Science Division in the Bureau of Water. Matt specializes in aquatic field program development and management, marine and freshwater biogeochemistry, and guidance of scientific and technical staff. He has undergraduate degrees in chemistry and entrepreneurial studies from Carthage College and a Ph.D. in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography.
